MedStar personnel know all too well the importance of adequate blood supplies in the community we serve.
That’s why, in the past 2 years, our MedStar personnel have donated 128 pints of blood.
These donations have helped over 300 patients in need.
In collaboration with Carter Blood Care, yesterday we were able to collect 28 pints of blood from both team members who were working on the ambulance and administratively at our central headquarters.
This was the best donation turn out (and shortest collection time frame window) we’ve had since 2016!
Kudos to our Operations and Communications teams for coordinating efforts to get on-duty staff in to donate all while maintaining appropriate response levels to the community!
