Christopher Cunningham has been named MedStar’s Chief Operations Officer.
“Chris has been a phenomenal leader at MedStar, ever since he started here as a paramedic in 2004” said Ken Simpson, MedStar’s CEO. “During his tenure at MedStar, he has done an outstanding job shaping the culture of our organization. He has earned the respect and admiration of our MedStar team members and our community partners. Chris has keen insight into every facet of our delivery models to assure we meet the dynamically changing needs for the communities we are blessed to serve, now and in the future.”
Chris’ passion for creating an outstanding culture at MedStar, coupled with his leadership vision and employee focus, makes him the ideal selection as MedStar’s COO.
In accepting his new position, Chris stated “Being part of the MedStar team for the past 18 years is the highlight of my EMS career. The people I am blessed to work with every day truly inspire me to continually assure they have the tools, resources, and support to provide world class service to our community, and every patient we care for.”
Chris began his career as a volunteer fire fighter/first responder in Kansas and has been with MedStar since 2004. He has served MedStar as a paramedic, field training officer, field supervisor, logistics manager, operations manager, and most recently, as Director of Operations.
